Allied World Pledges $1 Million Gift to Spencer Educational Foundation in support of NextGen Talent

New York, NY — Allied World has earmarked a $1 million philanthropic gift to bolster Scholarships and Intern Success Grants for students pursuing careers in risk management and insurance, and to support critical needs of the Spencer Educational Foundation.

The gift will expand access to Spencer’s signature scholarship program, provide needs-based funding to help interns succeed in the workplace, and ensure students will be poised for success both academically and professionally.

“Through this investment, Allied World is helping remove barriers that too often stand between talented students and long-term career success,” said Joseph Cellura, Spencer board member and President, North American Casualty at Allied World. “Spencer’s programs don’t just open doors—they make it possible for students to walk through them with confidence, support, and a clear path forward.”

The Spencer Educational Foundation works to attract and develop the next generation of risk management and insurance professionals through scholarships, internships, experiential learning, and career development support.

This investment reflects Allied World’s continued commitment to education, workforce development, and a more inclusive future for the insurance industry.
