Jessica Marshall joins as CRC’s new board representative, while Kristyn Smallcombe continues her service representing Ascot
Chicago, IL and Plano, TX (September 1, 2026) – The Spencer Educational Foundation announced updates to its board of directors reflecting the continued leadership of Kristyn Smallcombe and the appointment of Jessica Marshall, effective immediately. Smallcombe will continue her service on the Spencer board as the representative for newly added board company Ascot, while Marshall joins the board to continue the strong partnership with CRC. These transitions expand Spencer's roster of directors and strengthen the Foundation’s connection to two leading organizations in the industry.
Marshall previously served as Chief Marketing Officer at CRC and was promoted to Chief Development Officer earlier this year. Her role is directly connected to talent recruitment and development, closely aligning with Spencer's mission to support the education and professional development of future risk management and insurance leaders.
Smallcombe began her term on January 1, 2025, as CRC's first Spencer board representative and will continue her service as the representative for Ascot, where she became Chief Underwriting Officer in June 2026. Her transition provides Spencer with the opportunity to welcome Ascot as a new board company while retaining Smallcombe's vast industry experience and continued involvement.
With Ascot joining the board and Marshall becoming CRC's new representative, Spencer's board of directors will increase from 30 to 31 members.
