The Spencer Educational Foundation is proud to announce that in 2011, it was able to award over $277,500 in full-time and Part-Time Master scholarships. Through the generosity of Allied World Assurance Company ($100,000), Liberty Mutual Group ($500,000 over ten years), and the RIMS New York Chapter ($100,000), five more undergraduate scholarship awards were added in 2011 and one additional scholarship (RIMS NY Chapter/Dante Petrizzo Memorial Scholarship) will be awarded in 2012!
The Foundation awards both full-time and part-time master scholarships. Full-time students must have enrolled in 9-12 credits per semester to be considered for a full-time scholarship. The Part-Time Master scholarships are awarded to risk practitioners.
Full-Time Scholarships:
We will begin accepting full-time student scholarship applications for the 2012-2013 academic year in October 2011. To download a full-time application click here. The deadline for submission of applications is January 31, 2012.
Part-Time Master Scholarship:
The deadline date for submission of Part-Time Masters scholarship applications is May 1, 2012. We will begin accepting scholarship applications for this category after February 1, 2012. However, the Education Committee will begin the review and selection process after May 1, 2012.
