Student Internships

Student Intern Testimonials:

Cory Thompson, St. Mary’s University, San Antonio, TX intern at NuStar Energy:  “This experience has opened my eyes to what a real world business setting is like….I’ve learned more in a few weeks here than I could have in a semester of class. I loved the position I had at NuStar for the summer and I only hope one day I can make my way back to this company.”

Aaron  Lui, University of North Carolina at Charlotte, intern at SAS Institute:  “By working under Mari-Jo Hill, I have gained some irreplaceable experience working in the risk management world, and I wouldn’t have had this opportunity if it wasn’t for her and the Spencer Educational Foundation.”

Greg Lagreid, Washington State University, Seattle, WA, intern at YMCA of Greater Seattle: “Overall, I had an awesome experience at the YMCA this summer. I have learned so much more about the risk management profession through this internship and, it has reinforced my interest in risk management as a career path.”
